Vintage Christmas Card with a Gingerbread Twist!

This month's challenge at Visible Image is "Christmas".

Show us your Christmasy creations using a Visible Image stamp, and you have a chance to win a £30 gift voucher towards the Visible Image store! The top 3 chosen by the team receive a blinkie.

You can enter HERE!

I kept my card fairly clean and simple. I call it my gingerbread effect vintage card. I love how the kraft and white embossing look together and it reminds me of white icing on gingerbread houses, lol!! I used the gorgeous Christmas Collage as my main focus, using Creative Expressions Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. I also added Perfect medium to the edges of the card to make a distressed embossed edge as well. For the background of the card I randomly stamped the gorgeous Enchanting Snowflakes stamps and then layered the Christmas Collage on top of it, lifting it up with foam tape. I finished off the card with sheer organza ribbon, a button and some twine. I really love how this turned out!

If you are interested in any of these gorgeous stamps, just click on the image to head on over to the store.

I like your terminology: it's so fitting, because your card really does look like white icing on a gingerbread cookie. :)
